Karen Warren

For over 36 years, Karen was a staff photojournalist, starting with the Austin American-Statesman, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and most recently with the Houston Chronicle, where she spent nearly 28 years covering news, sporting events, features and portraits in and around the Houston area. 

During her career, she has worked14 Super Bowls, five World Series, the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta, countless natural disasters, and everything in between.

As the lead Houston Astros photographer, baseball became her favorite subject. In 2018, she was inducted into the Astros' Baseball Media Wall of Honor, the first photojournalist to receive the honor since the award's inception in 2007. Her work has also been honored by Texas APME awards, and the NFL's annual Hall of Fame Photo Contest.  

Brian Cassella

Brian joined the Chicago Tribune as a photojournalist in 2009. He enjoys the full range of daily news and features from big events like the Presidential election and the Cubs' World Series to more personal stories in the lives of Chicagoans from every community. 

He covered the Olympic Games in Sochi, Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo.

A native of Baltimore, Brian previously worked for the Tampa Bay Times and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina.

Matt Dirksen

Matt Dirksen is a sports, commercial, and editorial photographer based out of Chicago. His love for baseball and photography began with his first pack of trading cards at age 5. He has since graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University and is now entering his 11th season working in Major League Baseball.
