Who should apply?

The association will comprise baseball photographers in any space where MLB and/or its affiliates and subsidiaries perform. Team & league photographers, wire service photographers (AP, Getty, etc), newspaper and editorial, and freelance photographers with clients representing any of those categories.

Active committee leadership in this Association shall be reserved for professional photographers who are actively covering the game of Baseball at the highest levels and contribute images to a team, wire service, or publication for a minimum of 25 games per season and have a proven career in the field and/or have since retired.

Designated non-committee membership will be reserved for student level, interns, collegiate, international photographers and those with less than two years of professional experience who are looking to network, gain knowledge of the industry, and learn professionally about baseball photography. 

What does it cost?

All members shall renew their membership annually – and all prospective members shall apply – via the online application portal, linked below.

Member dues are $50 per year for professionals and $25 per year for students or those members that have graduated within two calendar years. Student status will be confirmed with a current or recent transcript.

Accepted members will not need to re-apply as long as their current working status does not change. Students or recent graduates will be given the opportunity to transition their account should they so choose.
